ABOUT THE DENTAL CLINICS The UNLV School of Dental Medicine is committed to increasing access to quality oral health care for all Nevadans. In addition to educating future dentists, the school is making a difference today by providing oral health care to thousands of Nevadans. The UNLV School of Dental Medicine operates two clinical facilities in Las Vegas. Our largest facility is on our Shadow Lane Campus, located at 1700 W. Charleston Ave. at the corner of Charleston Ave. and Shadow Lane. This is our primary teaching and clinical facility housing 165 dental operatories and adjunctive clinical, laboratory, and support services. Additionally, plans have been approved to add a new 44,000 sq. ft. building, scheduled to be completed in July of 2007. It will be located adjacent to our main facility on W. Charleston and will provide space for advanced dental education programs and clinics, as well as administrative and faculty offices. We also operate a community-based dental facility on Wheeler Peak Rd. in North Las Vegas. Both facilities are open to all Nevadans including those participating in some of Nevada’s Medicaid programs.
